This papercut is based on a drawing in my sketchbook from a trip I took to Morocco in 2009. I originally cut it in the same format as the sketch but was then commissioned by a client to re create in a square format.

Cornish Papercut
I came back from exhibiting at The Cornwall Design Fair a couple of weeks ago, totally inspired by the beautiful little villages and harbours. The exhibition was at Trerife House near Mousehole so I managed to make a couple of visits in the early morning before the exhibition opened, to take some photos and make sketches. This is the resulting papercut which is now in the Rostra Gallery in Bath.

Papercut Design for Frosted Window Film
This papercut would make a great design as frosted window film. It'll be at my next exhibition in Surrey in May.
Keep a look out for it over the next few weeks whilst I develop this idea!

Seek & Adore
I've been having trouble photographing my glass and getting a good representational image for www.seekandadore.com These are the latest which are listed on their website at the moment.

Internal Door Panels
This glass was designed for a newly built Arts & Crafts style house in Exeter. The client chose the following 4 designs from a number of sketches for each of the sets of 4 glass panels and these were then made in sandblasted and carved glass. The photographs show the finished glass from the right hand design before it left my studio
Papercut and Sandblasted Splashback commission
A papercut was created from the original drawing, and the artwork for the sandblasting stencil was created digitally from that. This is slightly more complex as it allows for 2 depths of sandblasting.
The panel will be fixed to the wall using chrome mirror screws.

Papercut
Yet more papercuts with which I'm exploring ways of introducing elements of colour yet still keeping the flatness and sharpness of the papercut (although the background is actually cream, not blue as it looks here!)

Papercuts
I LOVE papercutting and I continue to cut like mad when not working on commissions for glass. I use similar stencil techniques to create my sandblasted glass, but they are destroyed in use. By turning the process around and starting with a papercut from which to create the digital sandblasting stencil, I am able to push my work in a slightly different direction.

Splashback
I have just finished cutting this kitchen splashback. I love the contrast of the black pattern against the blue wall The photo doesn't do it justice so I've added an image of the glass on a piece of white paper before it was installed.

Work in progress
I love strong line and have have spent the past couple months drawing on the wall and ceiling of the hall in our house. The turquoise tree will be a coat hanger and the small area will be filled with plants. I'm planning on laying fake grass on the floor to add to the effect of walking into a magical jungle when entering the house.
