Yet more papercuts with which I'm exploring ways of introducing elements of colour yet still keeping the flatness and sharpness of the papercut (although the background is actually cream, not blue as it looks here!)

Papercuts

I LOVE papercutting and I continue to cut like mad when not working on commissions for glass. I use similar stencil techniques to create my sandblasted glass, but they are destroyed in use. By turning the process around and starting with a papercut from which to create the digital sandblasting stencil, I am able to push my work in a slightly different direction.
Here is one of my favourites so far..!
